People you don’t know but should

The Car Man The Car Man

Despite the cracking job that the local authorities are doing in turning Jalan Laksmana into a pedestrian friendly zone, everyone in Bali needs motorized transport in one form or another. You can buy a car if you want but by far the cheaper option for the short to medium term is to rent. Whether a car or a motorbike, or by the day or the year, there are many CC options to be had with many a varied price on offer.

Wayan Sudira from Kerobokan-based Satia Dharma, gives you flexibility in choice, size and colour, and if your car breaks down you don't have to worry about fixing it, that's his job! He has big cars and small cars, big bikes and small bikes and could probably rustle you up a Ferrari or a Hummer if your ego can't handle a Toyota.

Get moving and contact Wayan Sudira 081 238 44474

The GardenerThe Gardener

No matter how much you like gardening, there are only a few who know how to deal with an unruly tropical garden, especially when the rain gets to it during the monsoon. The plants here are big and wild with a Jurassic feel to them and need constant attention to stop them taking over your space, especially seeing as many of those spaces are so huge. A couple of hours a day is all it takes but you need to have the right person on the job. I Nyoman Sudar Sana is one such man.

Hailing from Umalas in southern Bali Nyoman can sort you out in no time with his creative green fingers getting your foliage looking like it just stepped out of a salon. He can even take care of any run of the mill maintenance that needs doing around the house, so you don't have to.

Contact Nyoman on 081 747 341 96 before the jungle takes over.

The Sports TherapistThe Sports Therapist

There seems to be a massage therapist or salon on almost every street corner in Bali offering massage from five dollars up to those with expensive aromatic oils for over 150 dollars, but the only true way to take away the serious aches and pains caused by modern life and tennis injuries we incur as we age is to see a qualified sports therapist. Someone who understands the physiology of your body and knows the names and shapes of the actual muscles and tendons they are manipulating.

Bali-raised Ketut lived and worked in Australia for 25 years where he studied at the Sydney Central College as a Sports Therapist. He understands the body well and will take time to enquire about the lifestyle behind the injury and where it stems from so he can work on future prevention as well as cure. He is good, he is reliable, and does house
calls in emergencies when not working out of his clinic in Denpasar.

For an appointment contact Ketut on 0361 246 181 and make pain a memory
